This wonderful homemade honeysuckle salt scrub is so easy to make and has amazing benefits to your skin! Such a great recipe with just 2 ingredients. A couple more ingredients can be added for additional benefit.
Making your own skincare products from flowers, herbs and other medicinal plants and weeds is a fun beneficial activity. And they make great gifts!

To deliver the healing benefits of honeysuckle to your skin, use a honeysuckle oil, salve or this wonderful DIY whipped body butter! Honeysuckle oil is oil that has been infused with dried honeysuckle flowers. The dry honeysuckle flowers are steeped in a carrier oil such as olive, almond or jojoba oil using one of the infusion processes included below. Infusing allows the natural active resins within the honeysuckle flowers to be extracted and drawn into the oil.

Another great reason to make your own honeysuckle oil and salt scrub, salve and other items, is that store-bought skincare products contain synthetic fragrances, harsh preservatives, and other harmful chemicals that can irritate sensitive skin and contribute to long-term health concerns. Plus making your own honeysuckle salt scrub is easy to do and much more affordable than store-bought skin care products.
This recipe usesdead sea salts.
Dead Sea salts offer numerous benefits for skin and overall health, including improved hydration, muscle relaxation, and potential relief for skin conditions. The high concentration of minerals in Dead Sea salts, like magnesium and calcium, helps to soothe and revitalize the skin, making it a popular choice for bath soaks, scrubs, and skincare products.
Other types of salts can be used, such as pink salt, sea salt and Epsom salt.
This wonderful honeysuckle dead sea salt scrub is wonderful for exfoliation of your skin and leaves your skin feeling soft and smooth. Exfoliation has many wonderful benefits for both the body and for the face. Dead skin cells build up and can make skin look flaky and dry.
When you exfoliate, you can remove these old, dead skin cells and renew your skin. Sea salt adds even extra detox benefits!
Honeysuckle is very prolific in the late spring and early summer. The honeysuckle blossoms are very delicate flowers and the scent of honeysuckle is so fragrant. I have wild honeysuckle growing in various places in my yard. Honeysuckle is considered invasive and does seem to pop up everywhere.
